How it all began

Andreas Hagen , came to from a salt-producing crown estate, to Germany in October 2002 and founded KönigsSalz. He set the course for its future success. The name KönigsSalz was patented and started of only dealing with natural salt, which came from the Carpathian Mountains. Over time, many different salts from around the world were added to the selection. In November 2004, a natural salt lick for horses was developed and was instantly very well received.

In June 2005, Lotte Heck took over KönigsSalz and brought her many years of experience in sales and marketing to the company. Andreas Hagen could concentrate on developmental breakthroughs. Lotte Heck strengthened sales and expanded the sectors of natural salts and horse licks.
