Himalayan salt

The most well known natural salt. It received its name thanks to the book „Water and Salt“ and has been known as Himalayan Salt ever since. However, no salt is mined throughout the entire Himalayan area. This is also the case in the Karakorum Mountains and the Hunza Valley. The salt that is known as Himalayan Salt comes exclusively from the salt mines in the northern part of the Punjab province in Pakistan.

Nevertheless, the wonderfully orange to white coloured Himalayan Salt is of top quality. The orange colour comes from its high iron content. The mild taste fits perfectly with food and it works wonders in a relaxing bath.
