Persian salt
A very special natural salt.
It has a unique variety of colour, which arose from shifts and spaces in the crystal lattice.
The colour comes from the mineral Silvite.
This mineral can only be found in halides and is mostly pink or yellow. In very rare cases, it is blue in colour. The main characteristic of Persian salt is its extremely salty flavour upon first taste. This only lasts for a very brief period however as it leaves a very pleasant aftertaste.
